    Just want to say that normally I would choose the toon deco when I buy my transformers. However, when it comes to shockwave, I was torn between this and the toon version. While I love a toon representation, I don't really like that shade of purple and paint. I really do like this shade of purple and think it's more akin to the cartoon. Second, I really like the metallic paint on him instead of the flat one on the toon version. Third, I just love the chrome accents on his feet and thigh and gun barrel tip. It makes him pop more than the toon version. In the end, I chose him over the toon. He is a really nice figure. Joints are tight. Paint is great as usual with Newage. Articulation is excellent. While I do like the painted yellow eye, I do wish they have the light feature gimmick bc I like that more. He is actually smaller than I thought in robot mode, but I think he looks nice in both mode. His transformation is easy and fun. I choose him over Magic Square's offering bc that seems a bit big and bulky. I like the slim look of Newage for his robot mode and gun. For $50, I think he is fair asking price for such a solid figure. I do wish the tube was clear instead of black like in the picture, but I don't mind it. I really recommend him.
