Just. Bloody. Gorgeous.

If you've ever played around with a NewAge David figure you know exactly what you're getting here. Great articulation, covered in paint, intricate yet uncomplicated transformation. But the Marvel Comics edition of this figure just pops like nobody's business. If you're a fan of the old Marvel Transformers books, this is one of those things you probably will heavily desire to have in your collection. The only twist is he doesn't have his trailer, which can be a good thing or a bad depending on your view. It's good as let's face it the trailer is a hollow shell of plastic and the price drops without it. It's a bad thing as what's Prime without his trailer and it means other versions are technically more "complete".

Reeeeeeally happy to finally own a copy of the Newage David mold, and he doesn't disappoint at all. He's got amazing articulation for such a small figure: ab crunch, bit of a butterfly, full arm and leg articulation with double hinges, ball peg head, etc... He's even got a bit of a pelvis thrust. And he's painted beautifully on top of that. If you're not gotten a legends Optimus yet you really should at bare minimum consider David. He's a bit shorter than the Magic Square Prime and not as chunky, but if you love the old Marvel Comics Transformers you're thing to love this guy.
