What happened?

I've been collecting this series since the start & the first four (the original turtles) have all been very impressive. Unfortunately with this figure it now feels like the effort has already been spent. My biggest issue is the hands. Instead of the beautiful articulated hands that we got with the turtles, we now have cast rubber blocks. I understand that the argument for this is probably a combination of cost & technical intricacy, surely there must have been a better solution than this. I would have preferred something akin to the Takara Masterpiece seeker figures, where the thumb & index finger are individually jointed & the other three fingers combined into a jointed 'flap'. At least this allowed for posing without having to pull the figure apart. Hot Toys were also able to design fully articulated hands for their 1:6 Iron Man line, so it's certainly feasible. This is a premium line, one that has (up to this point) impressed with complexity & attention to detail. I currently have pre-orders for the next three figures (Splinter, April & Krang), & I do want to support this but if corners continue to be cut then I'd rather lose my deposits & spend my money elsewhere.

Beyond ecstatic for this one. The other Turtles are great but this thing just looks menacing. It has sharp points all over which makes it a little tricky to pose. I am deducting half a star because the cockpit door was stuck and wouldn't open right away, but then fell off and wont stay on, so I'll have to reglue the door to the lever. I am happy with the purchase

What make a villain a good one is its personality, and this figure has pelnty of it! What I like most of this Shredder figure is the giant shuriken, so distinctive in the shinoby warfare, and the repeating shotugn with drum magazine! The rest is simply... sharp!

I got to know the heatboys figures more with the ninja turtles figures. And all of these figures are more special than each other. It's a very good series. And don't miss opportunities.
