"Empress Wu tamed the horse" is one of the Chinese-style resin statues produced by Montage studio and Gantaku Anime. The inspiration for this artwork comes from the historical story of China's only legitimate female sovereign Wu Zetian taming a horse.According to her own account (given in a rebuke of the Chancellor Ji Xu during her reign), there was an occasion during the time she was concubine when she impressed Taizong with her fortitude:Emperor Taizong had a horse with the name "Lion Stallion", and it was so large and strong that no one could get on its back.
